Hannah is an Ambassador for Breakthrough Breast Cancer and works to raise awareness for them both by doing media work and fundraising.
She has appeared in The Sun, Woman’s Own and on ITV Daybreak discussing breast cancer in young women and coming to terms with a mastectomy. Breakthrough Breast Cancer are currently funding 25% of research into breast cancer in the UK with the single minded ambition to stop women dying from breast cancer.
She has delivered talks on behalf of Cancer Research UK and recently supported their Catalyst Club division for major giving. The Catalyst Club is a pioneering venture that’s raising £10million towards personalised cancer treatment through a group of remarkable philanthropists.
She also takes part in crazy challenges to raise money for charity.
She walked the Race for Life three weeks after her mastectomy and raised £3,500 for Cancer Research UK, during her chemo her friend shaved off her hair and together they raised £1,500 for Cancer Research UK. She took part in the Santa Run in Greenwich Park in December 2012 to raise money for the Teenage cancer Trust, did the Tough Guy challenge in January 2013, raising money for The Stroke Association and getting hyperthermia in the process!
Her next challenge is Tough Mudder on the 8th June 2013, which will raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer, help for Heroes and Feed the Children. You can sponsor her by clicking here
Hannah’s future mission is to create a foundation that supports women who have been diagnosed with cancer who have no financial support so they do not have to suffer the way that she did. The foundation will also support women facing divorce who do not have the ability to pay for professional financial or legal support.
